The Morrow County Court of Common Pleas is hiring a full-time Deputy Clerk. The ideal candidate will possess an Associate’s Degree and experience working in an office setting. The Deputy Clerk is responsible for processing pleadings and documents filed with the Juvenile/Probate Division of the Morrow County Court of Common Pleas. Processing pleadings and documents includes opening new cases and assigning case numbers to the case within CourtView; docketing the information contained in the pleadings or documents; scanning the documents into OnBase; preparing service forms to serve parties; and, mailing copies of items filed to attorneys and parties involved in cases. In addition, the Deputy Clerk answers questions either in person or via phone/fax/email regarding cases, prepares transportation forms, schedules cases to be heard before the Judges or Magistrate, makes contact daily with the Sheriff’s Office and Attorneys regarding cases, and informs the Judges or Magistrate of upcoming hearings. The Deputy Clerk must possess exceptional inter-personal skills and have the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
